Description

Aceclofenac + PCM + Chlorzoxazone Tablets are available in the form of “WAYLAC-MR” and are used for pain relief and muscle relaxation. Muscle pain (myalgia) is widespread and generally refers to uncomfortable sensations in the muscles, which can be due to illness, injury or excessive exercise. It can be continuous or can also occur at intervals. 

Aceclofenac + PCM + Chlorzoxazone Tablets contains three medicines, namely: Aceclofenac (pain killer), Paracetamol (fever reducer/mild pain reliever) and Chlorzoxazone (muscle relaxant). These work by blocking the effect of a natural chemical messenger called cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzymes that make another chemical (prostaglandins) and work on the central nervous system (CNS) to relax muscles, relieving pain and stiffness caused by muscle strains and sprains. 

Medical Benefits 

• Aceclofenac and Paracetamol (Acetaminophen) are both nonsteroid anti-inflammatory drugs that inhibit the action of a natural substance called cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzymes that produce another substance known as prostaglandins. These prostaglandins are synthesized at the sites of trauma and induce inflammation and pain.  
• Chlorzoxazone is a muscle relaxant that centrally acts on the spinal chord it depresses reflexes and thus relieves pain and stiffness which is usually a result of muscle strains and sprains. 

Directions For Use  

• Take Aceclofenac + PCM + Chlorzoxazone Tablets as advised by your doctor. 
• Take it with a meal to avoid an upset stomach. 
• Swallow it as a whole; do not chew or crush it. 
• Keep this medicine out of sight and reach of children. 

Storage 

• Store it out of reach of children to prevent any accident or mishap. 
• Place the tablet in a cool, dry location, away from direct sunlight or heat.

Precautions 

• Avoid consumption of alcohol with this tablet as it can cause liver problems.

Is this medicine effective in treating Rheumatoid arthritis?

No, it does not cure rheumatoid arthritis but only reduces its pain and inflammation for a short duration as it is an analgesic. 

Is this composition safe for kidneys?

Mild to moderately impaired renal function must be monitored in the case of patients who are being treated. It has therefore been recommended that the lowest effective dose should be prescribed and renal function closely monitored. Renal impairment tends to be reversible along with the cessation of it.

Does this medicine help in the management of stomach pain? 

It should not be taken for stomach pain. It increases the production of stomach acid and can lead to the formation of ulcers as well as bleeding in the stomach. Therefore, if you have any gastrointestinal ulcer, bleeding problem or liver issue it is advisable to consult your doctor before using it.
